For those who are new to yoga or think that it's too difficult to do, here's a wonderfully simple yet amazingly restorative pose for the mind, body and spirit. If you experience any kind of anxiety, stress, or difficulty sleeping, this is one of the easiest and most relaxing poses to use before bed or anytime you want to relax during the day.
Image #1, is the traditional child's pose. This has the added benefit of stretching more of the shoulders and upper back. Image #2, is great for opening up tight shoulders if you are at a desk or computer much of the day, and Image #3, is great if you want added relaxation, support and a feeling of tranquility.
So instead of watching TV before bed, next time take just 5 minutes to try one or all of these options of Child's Pose and notice how you feel!
